Chameleon
Series EA/ECM Simulators - from EWsT Limited
Chameleon-II
CHAMELEON-II
is an enhanced version of the successful CHAMELEON ECM simulator.
This version provides two DRFM channels, each with 8-bit amplitude
encoding systems for applications where high signal replication
performance is required. CHAMELEON-II also includes a digital receiver
facility for ELINT signal analysis.
The simulator features radar target modeling, clutter and ECM signal
generation using a full software GUI running under Windows™.
With its Power PC™ technology, CHAMELEON-II provides real-time,
high performance signal generation with the ability to create your
own synthesised RF outputs using a unique DRFM READ/WRITE interface
facility.
CHAMELEON-II is ideally suited for hardware-in-the-loop applications
such as anechoic chamber system test and evaluation and radar performance
testing.

Chameleon-IIIB
CHAMELEON-III
represents a considerable advance over the CHAMELEON-II whilst still
maintaining component and software commonality. CHAMELEON-III offers
a faster through-put time, enhanced RF specifications including
a fast LO with set-on-receiver and increased processing power to
allow for additional ECM techniques to be realised.
CHAMELEON-III
is an advanced coherent deception jammer with a completely integrated
receiver function and is designed specifically as an internally
mounted airborne EA training system. It consists of:
-
Two Digital RF Memories (DRFM) to provide a coherent deception
capability,
with the potential for generating two time coincident coherent
ECM techniques.
-
A flexible techniques generator that is capable of both coherent
and non-coherent ECM signals including coherent in-bound false
range targets.
-
A Non-Coherent Noise ECM Channel.
As an improvement over other ECM training equipment, the CHAMELEON-III
has been designed to operate in high density RF signal environments
such as those encountered in real-world scenarios. It is capable
of automatically detecting and responding to radar signals in the
range of 0.84 to 18 GHz. The RF sub-system has been carefully designed
and is unique in that uncontrolled RF signals will not cause unwanted
or false detections.
