AN/PLM-4
End-to-End Test System - from TSO, EDO Corporation
The AN/PLM-4 Radar Signal Simulator (RSS) is an advanced capability,
battery powered, portable, RF stimulator designed to perform maintenance,
system performance and operational checkouts of Electronic Warfare
(EW) receivers normally associated with Radar Warning Receivers
(RWR), Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) systems.

The
AN/PLM-4 End-To-End Test System (ETETS) consists of an unmodified
AN/PLM-4 Radar Signal Simulator (RSS), a RF Measurement Device (RFMD)
accessory and a laptop PC controller. For users that currently have
the AN/PLM-4 available, all that is required for ETETS capability
is the RFMD and PC controller.The RSS ETETS can be used using existing
RF antenna couplers (HATS), or HATS can be purchased at additional
cost. The RSS ETETS PC software can be installed on most desktops
and laptop PC's using Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000. The ETETS is unique
in that it allows the users to perform full End-To-End tests on
EW systems using a portable, battery powered test set that can be
used anywhere in the world without the need for facility AC power.
The ETETS operator interface is a Windows Graphical User Interface
(GUI) that permits the operator to perform a variety of frequency
accuracy, receiver sensitivity and transmitter output tests using
configuration controlled automatic test programs. The ETETS test
programs are developed using the ETETS Test Program (TP) Wizard.
The ETETS TP allows system test engineers to quickly develop in-depth
maintenance test programs without the need for knowledge of the
ETETS operational software. The ETETS is designed for rapid deployment
into areas of conflict in a package that consumes less than four
cubic feet (excluding HATS). The ETETS footprint supports the AEF
allowing advanced EW system testing in an austere operating environment.

Optical sensor testing (ERSTS). An all in one integrated package
permits users to test RF Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) systems,
UV Missile Warning Systems (MWS), Laser Warning Systems (LWS), Directed
IR Countermeasures (DIRCM) systems. The test system allows for emitter/missile
profile programming and file storage in a single, self contained
package. The ANPLM-4 shares memory and support functions that significantly
reduce the logistics footprint for efficient AEF deployment operations.

Mobile EW and Radar Test System (MERTS)

MERTS is a mobile EW and Radar Test System. MERTS is specifically
designed as a turnkey mobile laboratory for use in the evaluation
of ECM techniques, the testing of radar & EW systems and the
testing and/or training of radar and EW operators. The equipment
